Global Positioning System Satellites Launched . . . . .

In support of our previous story on the coming of the war in space comes news of the rocket launch carrying NAVSTAR Global Positioning System Block IIR military navigation satellite.

The GPS satellite will be used to more precisely guide weapons and smart bombs.

Improvements to help in space superiority will continue to be made in the coming years.

UPDATE: Boeing have announced they will be building NASA's next-generation series of tracking and data relay satellites (TDRS) worth $1.2 billion of revenue.
